Winter is on the way! Here are some of the things I think every girl should own for the chilly season!
( wish I owned all of these gorgeous things....sigh)

- A good leather jacket, black is always useful as it goes with everything and if it's fitted even better.
- T-shirts, especially in grey and natural colours. They're great for layering an outfit.
- Jeans! Good denim is a total win. Especially if it's a slight light wash, stops the dark colours from washing out.
- Cute colourful sneakers! I know boots are the usual winter rage, but sneakers are just as comfortable and look great in bright colours, takes away from the winter gloom.
- Backpacks! You need to keep your hands free to hold you warm drink, and umbrella when your running around in the rain! Nice change from a handbag and again bright!
- Earmuffs are the best. I suffer with insanely cold ears and if I owned these leopard print bad boys I would rock them on chilly days!
- I love this bold black ring, winter time you are usually layered up so necklaces and earrings can often be hidden amongst all the warm clothes. A good statement ring really stands out.
- We all feel a bit drab in winter, so for a natural glow, bronzer is always useful.
- And of course! Hot chocolate.... what would winter be with out yummy hot chocolate :)

Those of you who live in Cape Town know the ridiculous battle with parking in Claremont and Cavendish. So on Saturday we parked around the back of the shopping centre. It's not the first time I have seen these stencils spray painted onto the walls of houses and flats in the area. Last time I didn't have my camera so I snapped some up this time. I am sure the locals and residents are not thrilled by the defacing of property, but I actually think its pretty cool and sweet :) lots of cute stencils and arts works are drawn all over in eye catching places. I think its really fun that someone made these stencils and went off placing them up in a neighbourhood.

The pace of life is forever increasing and there seems to never be enough hours in a day. I have a very special boyfriend who is someone that I can honestly say, treats me like a princess and is my biggest supporter in all aspects of my life. We both lead busy lives and often we don't get to spend time together. This stands for our friends and family as well. Although we do our utmost to make time for each other, sometimes the pace of life can over lapse the quality time together.
So out of the blue I get told that on Saturday I am having a surprise day! I really didn't expect to get spoilt to this extent, and I am super grateful for the lovely adventure and time that we shared.
We started the Saturday off with a trip to the Vineyard Hotel in Claremont for a buffet breakfast! My favourite! With a fantastic selection of hot and cold breakfast to choose from we found ourselves taking it slow and indulging in a two hour breakfast! Sorry no pictures, was too busy indulging myself!
After breakfast we decided to go for a walk around the grounds. You never expect so much beauty and greener in the middle of Cape Town. If you ever get a chance go for tea or breakfast at the gorgeous hotel and then a stroll through these magnificent gardens. I love nature and greenery. The area is lush with beauty (and spiders, big ones, very big webs) and has a lovely tranquil feel to it.
I love the Vineyard Hotel and if your looking for something new and different to do on weekend, gather some friends for breakfast and a stroll around the beautiful grounds.
Super spoilt and super lucky!

We started out at the gorgeous bar inside and sipped on 6 delicious wines while relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view of the rolling hills and mountains. If your ever stuck for things to do in Cape Town I strongly suggest you take a look at what is close by and affordable. There are so many wonder places.
Feel very spoilt and very lucky to have shared this lovely Saturday with a special person who is my biggest supporter and listener. So nice to spend time together doing something different from the normal routine. Very lucky to have a spoilt weekend and most of all I feel lucky to have awesome memories to go along with these beautiful locations.
