This was a very lucky day for cloud pictures. I am a huge fan of cloudy weather. Low lying cloud reminds me of Thailand. These were taken outside my flat (super lucky to see this sky every day and the incredible ocean).

Ok, so my photo challenge has been a little neglected as has my blog. So before class and a presentation I decided to carry on with some posts! Here is what I wore the other day, it's nothing overly exciting but, its this really cool pair of printed pants that I found at Mr Price. They are super comfy and I am in love with them.

This probably one of my favourite "love songs" It's from the musical RENT and this particular version is from the movie. If you listen to the lyrics carefully you can really understand how love can be found in the most simple pleasures and ways. So love long, love hard and love everyone in your life and cherish them.

I am a sucker for summer and the beach. The new Wildfox summer 2012 embodies everything of pretty, pink and beautiful by the sea. So in love with these pics!

I love this photo. It was taken about two weeks ago at after hours at The Assembly. My boyfriend Neil's brother Ian was DJ for the evening so at the end of the night Neil, Andrew and myself ended up at assembly ready to break it down to some seriously awesome tunes :) (prior to this photo we had been to a get together, gotten lots, landed up at tiger and then assembly. Does not happen often so was good fun)

When you are a student it is always easy to reach for the junk food and eat take out. I have always eaten relatively well and know what my body can and cannot handle but often I find myself with an empty fridge and that's when the wheels fall off. Here are three Items you should try keep in your fridge. ( I am learning as I go along. I am not a professional on nutrition but mealy documenting what helps me and I find useful and non harmful in staying healthy/learning how to be healthier)

Peaches: Are a good source of antioxidants and vitamin C they also satisfy the sweet tooth

Mint and lemon water: If you struggle to get through a litre of water every day, this is a good way to make sure you do. Make a pitcher (Glass pitcher, R50.00 at clicks) Fill it with water, add mint leaves and squeeze fresh lemon's into the water, mix it all together and keep it in the fridge. It taste's good, lemon juice is great for your skin and digestive system and it adds some flavour to water. keep a glass close by and make sure you fill it through out the day or fill a water bottle.

Rye Bread: Is  a much better option than most breads as it is high in fibre, low in fats and doesn't cause your blood pressure to spike like other breads would. I find it fills you up for longer and if your looking for a quick lunch it tastes great with low fat cheese or tuna mayo. Fuller for longer

This weekend was my birthday. I am not going to lie, I am not the biggest birthday fan. Other people's yes! Mine, not so much. Always seems to be drama. This year I was spoilt with a breakfast with my friend Colette at our Favourite little spot, La petit tart in De Waterkant, Friday night was dinner with my fantastic boyfriend at my favourite place, Chef Pons Asian Kitchen. Saturday afternoon friends joined me in the boiling heat at &Union in town for snacks and drinks. It was so nice to be surrounded by such special people, that I know love and care about me. I also got spoilt with loads of fantastic gifts! My friends know me well! Lots of gorgeous gifts! Accessories, bath salts, lotion, perfume, a bathrobe, chocolate stationery (yes I am addicted to it) a gorgeous backless RVCA top and so much more! It is always so nice when your friends spoil you with the things they know you like! Most of all it was nice to look around and see people who truly mean something to me. I wish my mom was here, she was in jhb, but my boyfriend took me for yummy dessert as per my mom's request :) Treasure the people in your life, be grateful, compassionate and aware of them, there meaning, love, kind hearts and time.
